Product Description

Reprinted 2001 by Michiana History Publications

This inexpensive reprint is  a best seller at our genealogy conferences.

Lithographed on 80 pound archival stock, and protected by a mylar sleeve,  this 11" x 14" reproduction makes  a great gift for friends and family or can be  an unusual door prize at family reunions or genealogy meetings.

This exceptional map was produced in 1850 by Thomas Cowperthwait and Company. The original size was 14" x 11.5" but this reprint was slightly reduced in size to accommodate our archival page protectors.

This detailed and interesting map was hand colored by county and shows towns, rivers, lakes, railroads, roads, distances, forts, etc. Tables of Steam Boat routes and distances are also shown. There is a large insert of the area around Lexington, the Washington and Clarksburg area and the Falls of Ohio, including Jeffersonville, Louisville, Shippingport and Portland.
